Hazlewood’s Rainbow ECO Day

On Wednesday 7th October 2015 Hazlewood had a whole school ECO day with a Rainbow theme. Each class was given a colour and a one of the old planting tyres, to paint and plant up with flowers to help brighten up the garden. Everyone also made rainbow kebabs to eat at snacktime, made recycled plastic bottle flowers to decorate the fences with, completed a coloured un-nature trail round the garden and helped out with a litterpick in the playground and surrounding lanes and streets. Luckily after 2 days of rain the sun shone and we now have a beautiful planted rainbow. Everyone is looking forward to seeing how the tyres change over the seasons as the bulbs come through and the plants grow.
